Exotanium, Inc. is searching for a Solutions Architect who will be responsible for being at the forefront of business development and new technologies, engaging with customer prospects and customers, both internal and external, to mold the future of how customers achieve cloud resource optimization. Our company has offices in Ithaca, NY, and Santa Clara, CA, and we also offer remote positions across the United States.

Exotanium, a startup created by two professors and one graduated Ph.D. student from the Department of Computer Science at Cornell University, is a cloud resource optimization and management platform that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to help enterprises reduce spending in the cloud by up to 90%, while enhancing both operational security and performance.


We recently closed a seed round and are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our brilliant, world-class team, to play a critical role in selling our platform to a broader array of customers.

Key responsibilities:


  • Provide deal support to Business Development and Management, including supporting the management of the sales pipeline and strategic deal support cycles
  • Design and maintain sales demo content, , demo scripts, support prospect-specific demo requirements and competitive scenarios to best position Exotanium’s product offering
  • Deliver product demonstrations, including ability to address complex scenarios and propose creative solutions to customer prospects and new offerings to existing customers
  • Stay up-to-date and provide feedback on feature designs, product roadmap and development progress
  • Influence product direction based on prospect needs and customer feedback, acting as a functional liaison between Business Development and Product Management/Development teams
  • Contribute to the completion of data guides, scripts and other documentation during each update process
  • Create thought leadership and world-class knowledge capital, such as white papers, blogs, code samples and development resources that can be used by Software Engineers.
  • Assist marketing with seminars, trade shows and webinars


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing customer-facing cloud infrastructure components, including deploying containerized applications using Docker
  • Significant experience with Linux-based systems and products
  • Experience with Xen- or KVM-based systems
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing the customer integration process and working to find more efficiencies over time
  • Solid understanding of security constructs and networking in the cloud (IAM, security groups, VPCs, etc.)
  • Proficient communication skills and proficient in English (both written and verbal).
  • Growth mindset and a passion for learning
  • You can work effectively in a remote environment


Great-to-haves:

  • Software development skills with at least one modern compiled language (C, C++, Go, etc.)
  • Significant experience across multiple cloud providers
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
